How your donation helps impact others
Every dollar matters as we work hard to continue providing the programs which help support kids and young families, bridging the gaps in the community where there is a need for assistance. When you donate to United Way of West Central Minnesota your dollar directly helps others by providing things like meals, educational supplies and opportunities, and other more.
Cardinal Backpack Program
Every week we provide ready-to-eat meals and snacks for children who may not have consistent access to food while they are home from school for the weekend. We currently provide these bags of food for 218 elementary children across several schools, and there is a need for even more.
Future World Changer preschool screening bags
We provide 818 educational kits across 12 school districts for soon-to-be preschoolers that will help them engage and learn.
GrowMobile
Our GrowMobile and staff travel to 15 different stops around our service area to provide an early educational opportunity over the summer for kids. Through the GrowMobile we help kids connect, have fun, and continue learning through the summer.
Stuff the Bus
Through our Stuff the Bus fundraiser we are able to help families who may have trouble acquiring all of the school supplies children will need to begin the new school year. These supplies are offered at no cost to those families who need them.
